If your job requires you to have a phone number you can access your phone via Google Voice. Google Voice is a digital phone system built for the cloud and ties straight into your UIndy Google Workspace Account. Phone calls can be made from your computer or mobile device.
Google Meet is our primary virtual meeting platform. Google Meet is a video conferencing app available for scheduled or impromptu video and/or phone calls. Meet may be accessed on your computer, mobile phone, or tablet.

Phones
Phone service at UIndy is provided by Google Voice. Employees are assigned a Google Voice number, upon request and based on job requirements. Physical desk phones are provided for departments where student workers are answering and placing phones calls on behalf of UIndy.
Video Conferencing
UIndy account holders have access to Google Meet for video conferencing. Google Meet comes with many features including: ability to record, breakout rooms, meeting attendance, closed captioning, and polls (some features are only available with employee accounts). Each meeting can accommodate up to 500 attendees and has no time limit. Attendees do not need a Google account to join a meeting.
