Onboarding for employees (technology only)

Full-time employees are eligible for a University-issued computer that is on a 5-year replacement cycle. Part-time or temporary employees may be assigned, upon request by the supervisor, a refurbished unit based on availability and job requirements. Please submit requests at least five (5) business days prior to the start date.

UIndy IT will work with the hiring manager, or their designee, to schedule an appointment for the new employee to receive their computer. New employees will be introduced to their computers, given an overview of installed software and printers, and are given a brief introduction to UIndy desktop security policies.

Adjunct instructors may request to check-out a laptop from UIndy Tech Checkout kiosks if they choose not to use their own laptops.  See the Self Help article listed below.
