Request to add/edit My UIndy content myself

Use this service to request administrative editing permissions for your department, office, or organization within the My UIndy portal. Granting content management permissions allows designated faculty or staff members to directly add, edit, and maintain portal cards, announcements, documents, and web links for their respective areas.

All portal editors are responsible for keeping their department’s published content accurate, up to date, and compliant with university branding and accessibility standards.

Common Use Cases for Editor Access:

  • Departmental Content Management: Gaining access to create or update specialized cards for your academic unit or administrative office.
  • Managing Portal Links & Resources: Maintaining accurate shortcuts to external forms, internal documents, and departmental web pages.
  • Publishing Targeted Announcements: Directly posting news, deadlines, or event notices to specific audience groups (e.g., all students, specific majors, or faculty).
  • Replacing/Transferring Editors: Reassigning portal editing responsibilities when a team member leaves or changes roles.

Before You Submit:

  • Supervisor/Department Head Approval: Submissions must be authorized by your department head, dean, or director before elevated portal permissions can be granted.
  • Provide Card Information: You will need to specify the exact card title or section name you need permission to edit.
  • Content Training: First-time portal editors may be asked to complete a brief overview of My UIndy publishing guidelines and accessibility standards before access is enabled.
