Use this service to request interior and exterior general maintenance, carpentry, mounting, and structural repairs for University buildings and facilities. The Facilities team provides routine care to maintain campus safety, structural integrity, and functional working and learning environments.
Common Services Covered:
- Mounting & Installation: Securely hang whiteboards, shelves, wall clocks, artwork, pictures, awards, TVs, flat panels, etc.
- Doors, Windows & Hardware: Fixing sticky, misaligned, or broken doors; repairing windows, latches, locks, frames, blinds, shades, and cabinet doors.
- Walls, Ceilings & Surfaces: Patching drywall holes, replacing stained or damaged ceiling tiles, and repairing damaged countertops, cabinetry, or trim.
- Flooring & Structural Upkeep: Addressing loose or damaged floor tiles, carpet seams, transition strips, and general interior woodwork.
- Routine Hardware Fixes: Investigating beeping alarms/smoke detector battery changes (non-emergency), adjusting fixtures, fixing door locks, or minor hardware adjustments.
- Moves and Relocating: Facilitating furniture moves and departmental relocation.

Urgent or Safety Hazards:
- If you are reporting an active flood, shattered glass creating a safety hazard, or a structural emergency during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), please contact Facilities Management immediately at 317-788-3258.
- Outside normal business hours, all emergency maintenance concerns should be reported to University Police at 317-788-3386.
- After you have contacted the correct personnel, please then proceed to submit a UIndy Works help request.

- Include Location Details: Please specify the exact building, floor, room number, or wall location needing attention.
- Attach Photos: Uploading a clear photo of the damage or mounting site helps our technicians bring the correct tools and hardware on their first visit.
